The state of me

You know how people will say, “Can’t complain!” when you ask after them? Well, I can’t complain. I really can’t. I could come up with a list of complaints, but I can’t FEEL them (well, ok, I’m a little blue that the cats are frightened of either the crutches or the boot or both, but a lot of that is “I’m being a bad cat mom,” not actual feelings about my state, and they will get over it). I feel pretty Pollyanna saying so, but I’m so fortunate, even with this in the mix, it makes me appreciate everything else in my life.

Catching up from yesterday: I was on crutches with a foot wrap (and boy are my arms tired! /badjokepunchline). Today, I went to my first class, went to my 10:00 class but left 20 minutes in so I could crutch it over to my car and then to my ortho appointment at 11. Got a boot and a scrip for a scooter, then grabbed lunch and some ibuprofen and still made it back for my third Friday class at 1 only 15 minutes late. A guy named Isaac let me take pictures of his first two pages of notes.

After class, I went to the parking office and updated to the one that actually allows me to park ON campus (got some wrong information during orientation), then to the pharmacy to get my scooter, then to the DMV for a temporary disability parking placard. Then I got myself a danged iced coffee, because man, what a day!
